The installation In the Time of Flood began with the extraordinary rain fall of late June early July 2013. That rain create a vernal stream in which I placed 50 yards of cheesecloth. As a part of that interaction I left the cheesecloth there until the water stopped running. During those 43 days,
I photographed my encounters with the changed land and material. Substance as a conveyance of meaning is about what is present, and about presence.
